Natma's Brazilian Cheese Bread Packaging
Natma, a Brazilian food brand located in Bali, has set out on a mission to bring traditional Brazilian cuisine to the island while promoting sustainability and supporting the local community. Their commitment to introducing gluten-free versions of beloved Brazilian dishes and using environmentally friendly packaging is a testament to their dedication to both flavor and responsibility.
Packaging Concept: Sustainable and Interactive

Design Concept: The packaging for Natma's Brazilian cheese bread embodies their brand values of tradition, sustainability, and community engagement. The packaging serves not only as a vessel for their delicious gluten-free cheese bread but also as a source of entertainment and connection for their customers. It is a journey to create flavors that respect traditions and a world that respects our planet.

Design Goals and Process:

Eco-Friendly Packaging Concept: The packaging is conceived as a dual-purpose piece. In alignment with Natma's dedication to the environment, I envisioned packaging that wouldn't end up in landfills after use. After customers have relished the delectable cheese bread, they can unfold the packaging to unveil an intricately designed Ludo board – a popular board game in Brazil. This encourages customers to interact with the packaging beyond its primary function, creating a memorable experience, reducing waste, and fostering a more eco-friendly approach.

Cultural Connection: To infuse Brazilian culture into the design, I crafted a bespoke illustration using the vibrant hues of Brazil's national flag and Natma's brand color palette on their packaging cover. This illustration celebrates the essence of Brazil, evoking its lively energy and captivating traditions. The Ludo board design is adorned with vibrant Brazilian patterns and colors, adding a touch of Brazilian culture to the experience. It resonates with Natma's goal of bringing the taste and essence of Brazil to Bali.

Local Collaboration: The packaging's brown hardboard is locally sourced in Bali, supporting the local community and reducing the brand's carbon footprint. Biodegradable and food-grade materials are used in crafting the packaging. This choice embodies Natma's commitment to community collaboration while aligning with their eco-conscious values.
Results and Impact: The collaboration with Natma resulted in packaging that reflects their values and enhances their culinary offerings. It is a triumph of creativity, cultural connection, and environmental consciousness. The Ludo board packaging is a tactile representation of Natma's fusion, resonating with customers on both cultural and eco-friendly levels.

The bespoke illustration, adorned with Brazil's flag colors and Natma's palette, exudes the brand's vivacity while offering a tangible piece of art for customers to cherish.
